In a rousing finish to an admired cycle of careers, Jacqueline Edwards gives a believable heroine for our time.
A real-life illustration of that 21st Century girl-wonder that replaced Cinderella fairy-tales Kgnston (a she is also known as) readies to inspire a generation. She’s modeled, acted and starred in Finance and now she -like most Jamaicans- is ready for the music. Again similar to most aspiring Jamaican artists she sang in the church choir and is absolutely married to that studio life, except Kgnston isn’t an aspiring Jamaican artists but a Jamaican aspiring superstar! In music town everyone is angling for that one big hit. But actually getting it (and hanging on to that small all important window of relevance) is all about timing. Last year she gained recognition for her single; ‘5-cent’ with the perennial king of the dancehall; Beenie Man. Now the long-legged tri-costal don diva is back with a brand new single.Could this be it? Could this be Kngston’s window?Well, this too sits on time and wait we shall.
The song features smooth jazzy melodies and original lyrics penned by the artist. Titled; “When the lights go out” the track is slated to make its debut in mid summer.
