DOWNTOWN KINGSTON GETS THE ELLE TREATMENT

So the Elle team came to Jamaica late last year to shoot a mega cool spread for their March 2015 issue. So in flew Martinican model Melodie Monrose and photographer Liz Collins.
Samira NASR was also in town with trunks filled with colorful spring looks from Prada, Celine, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Miu Miu, Donna Karan New York , Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren and much more.
What I adore about this spread is the authenticity that they managed to capture. For once I’m seeing an editorial set in Jamaica where I don’t find myself thinking “how the heck did they make this look like that”. It is raw, undiluted and a %100 true representation of the downtown Kingston life. No Strawberry hill, posh bush sides or oceanic blues, just pure frozen moments of a sunny dancehall day.
