The Essentials

I've been a Fashion Editor for 5 years and as an aging editor, I have needs.
Running a series of online and physical start-up companies is no walkover, but I love what I do... ALOT! To do it all however I have a few essentials that I have not been able to live withought and so I'm sharing it all with you guys!
ONEBOOM!
Energy is that all essential thing we don't think we need when we're young. But not because we're nearing our prime means we're always going to be energy filled all the time. Boom, for me, tastes 'ok' and it works well!
TWO Chicken Pasta
I flew the coop over a year ago and living on your own is a lot of work in itself! It’s not just remembering to shower and spread the bed anymore. Thank god I have a very efficient helper that cooks really well. Penne pasta is inexpensive and so is chicken breast, Cook-time is 45 minutes max which makes this a no brainer, chic, delish dish for a young kid like me.
THREE A Full Black Ensemble
Doing PR, writing, blogging and attending events everyday is stressing enough and then you add dressing to impress to the list, woah. In an interview earlier this year I made it clear that I don't wake up with an elaborate plan of action - but that I wake up every day just trying not to be a loser. That unfortunately begins with how I look. Having a good pair of black jeans, black Tees, tank, jumper and a sleek simple black blazer is an easy way to look chic everyday without much thought.
FOUR A Visa Debit Card
My visa debit card from Scotia Bank has been my ultimate must-have for the past two years. In many circles debit cards are still that thing that "basics" carry around. Well, spending your own money doesn't sound so basic to me. It keeps me out of debt and it helps me to save and swipe (lol). It works everywhere major credit cards are accepted and Scotia's customer service and online banking is excellent... but that's just my opinion.
FIVE Lightweight Technology
I recently upgraded to a Sony Vaio in white and trust me belles, its my best friend. It’s super slim and sleek, boots pretty quickly and its windows 8! It's absolutely perfect for me when I'm on the go.
SIX Hotel Hotspot
For a young entrepreneur like myself having an office space is not first on the list of things to acquire, especially not within the first few years. For all my business meetings and similar outings a hotel cafe takes the cake over a regular run of the mill coffee house for me any day. My top pick? 24/7 Cafe at the Jamaica Pegasus of course. The staff knows me by name and needs. My chilled Perrier, hot chocolate and a slice of carrot cake is always at the ready as I walk through their tres fab lobby.
