The official FIFA World Cup Trophy will be travelling in style to this year's World Cup FInal at te Maracana Stadium, as Fifa has commissioned Louis Vuitton to design the case that will house the coveted prixe.

True to the LV brand, the trophy's case will resemble their iconic monogrammed leather travel trunk. And travel thetrophy certainly does. Since September of last year, the Fifa World Cup Triophy has covered nearly 93,000 miles during a trous of the World that began and Ended in this year's host country of Brazil.

The biggest prize in international soccer isn't a light load, eithr. Made of 18-carat gold, the trophy weighs 13.6 pounds and stads 14. inches tall.

This is the second consecutive World Cup that FIFA has worked with Louis Vuitton, they also designed the trophy case for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Keep an eye out for the famed fashion house’s work when the trophy is rolled out during the final in Rio De Janeiro on July 13thk
