Hours before the 63 Annual Miss Universe Pageant goes underway, Miss Jamaica the 22 year old, short-haired beauty that is Kaci Fennell is, “CALM”. With the progression of the world of social media we have been granted the pleasure of virtually travelling to Doral, Miami with our queen, weighing in on her every move. This, many will say, has contributed to the truly amazing support we have played witness to for the past 3 weeks. Yendi Philipps -the common comparison for dear Kaci- has risen from the heels of her Miss Jamaica World title to Miss Universe 1st runner up and finally to a certified Jamaican starlet with a global fanbase. Kaci Fennell; the only suitable successor is predicted to join Philipps atop the most desired public figure brands in Jamaica and we here at Kingston Belle must agree. Kaci has already hinted through her social media of alleged future projects and expansion which we ask her about as well as other things in this EXCLUSIVE interview hours before she hits the stage. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE NEW TITLE OF BEING JAMAICA’S SWEETHEART?

Well, I can’t feel anything but sweet I guess! (Lol). Honestly I’m just very humbled by all this love and support I’ve been receiving over the past few weeks that I’ve been here in Doral.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE YENDI PHILLIPPS COMPARISONS?

Yendi has done our great nation proud time and time again. She will forever be imprinted in Jamaican Pageant history as a double pageant Queen and a phenomenal Miss Universe Jamaica. I can only hope to join her in this matter of history and firsts!

WHAT’S THE ENERGY LIKE IN DORAL AT THE MOMENT?

I’m getting scores of messages from my friends and family who are here now and will be in the audience tonight. It’s truly heartwarming, I’m feeling the love and di Jamaican vibes and things.

WHAT IS FENMADE?

I’ve been working with KB Collective, the management company that also manages KB (lol) on a lifestyle brand and it looks like I just may be launching it very soon. We’re kicking things off with a lifestyle blog written by myself where I’ll be blogging about fashion, beauty, travel and of course FOOD! It’s just another way for me to communicate with my supporters and sell brand Jamaica. I can’t wait to launch!

WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO MOST COME MONDAY AND ONWARD?

A free, no make-up, no heels day! (lol), No seriously just one day barefooted in the sand and sun. Then of course right back to work!
